Terms of Service

1. Service Description

NextPath AI is a career transition platform for IT professionals, jointly operated by Saranen Consulting Oy and ModernPath Oy. The platform offers AI-powered learning, sprint-based challenges, teamwork, and portfolio building tools.

2. Registration and User Accounts

Using the service requires registration. Builders log in via email link and companies via OAuth authentication. Users are responsible for the security of their accounts and the accuracy of information provided.

• Users must be at least 18 years old
• User accounts are personal and may not be shared
• Users are responsible for all activity on their accounts
• Incorrect or misleading information may result in account suspension

3. Builder Rights and Obligations

Builders have the right to use the platform's learning materials, participate in sprints, and build their portfolios.

• Builders own the content and code they produce
• Builders commit to acting in good collaborative spirit in teams
• Builders may not use the platform for illegal purposes
• Builders are responsible for the accuracy of their portfolio content

4. Company Rights and Obligations

Companies have the right to publish bounties, browse builder profiles, and manage their outplacement programs.

• Companies receive a limited license to work produced in sprints per bounty terms
• Companies commit to providing constructive feedback on sprint results
• Companies may not use platform data for direct marketing without consent
• Companies are responsible for the content and legality of published bounties

5. Intellectual Property Rights

Builders own all rights to work produced in sprints. Companies receive a usage license for sprint outputs per the bounty terms. NextPath AI platform content, including course materials and brand elements, are the property of Saranen Consulting Oy and ModernPath Oy.

• Builder code and outputs: builder retains full rights
• Sprint outputs: company receives usage license per bounty terms
• Platform content: Saranen and ModernPath own course materials
• Open source: licenses of open source used in sprints are respected

6. Code of Conduct

All users commit to following good practices and respecting other users.

• Harassment, discrimination, and threats are prohibited
• Presenting another person's work as your own (plagiarism) is prohibited
• Compromising platform security is prohibited
• Violations may result in account suspension without prior warning

7. Limitation of Liability

NextPath AI provides the platform "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation. We are not liable for indirect damages or losses arising from use of the service.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms. Material changes will be communicated to users by email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes will primarily be resolved through negotiation. If negotiation does not lead to a resolution, disputes will be settled in the Helsinki District Court.
